This mini-retrospective of works on (and in) paper reveals my interest in weaving together a seemingly endless variety of small images into a coherent and harmonious whole. It explores my journey into the challenging territory of marrying multiple contrasting ideas: a rich, sensuous surface and expressive mark with the constraints of a carefully articulated, gridded structure; a shameless love of beauty balanced by an insistence on meaning; and on-going references to silence and stillness juxtaposed against movement—both literal and figurative. Through this body of work, my voice has become a language of its own.
